The first phase of Euro 2008 ticket sales began on March 1st 2007 and ended on the 31st of March. Applicants will be informed in mid April about their status of the Tickets.In the first phase three ticket types were made available.
Individual match tickets(IMT). Applicants can pick and choose any Euro2008 match. Applications are possible for one match per day and for up to 4 persons per match only.
Prices for individual match tickets depend on where you are seated. As you would expect, tickets in the pit behind each goal are the cheapest with main stand tickets the most expensive. The opening match will cost between €70 and €250. Matches in the group stages range from €45 - €110. Prices increase as the tournament progresses with the quarter final costing €60 - €180, the semi final €80 - €300 and the final coming in at a whopping €160 - €350.
Follow my team(FMT). Follow my team tickets are split into two sections. Each applicant can purchase up to 4 FMT tickets and must choose one country to follow.
FMT Group Tickets - Follow your chosen country through every group game. FMT group tickets cost €240 with a €90 surcharge if your country plays in the opening match.
FMT Tournament Tickets - Allows applicants to follow their chosen country through to the final. Every match is included and should your country go out before the final, payment for the invalid tickets will be refunded.
There is a hafty 10% service charge for FMT tickets.
Tickets are available exclusively through euro2008.com. Officials at UEFA have stated that they consider the internet to be the 'fastest, safest and easiest channel' through which to apply for tickets for the upcoming Euro 2008.
There will be at least another sales phase in December when the Qualification is over and the groups for the 2008 Football/Soccer European Championships are drawn.
Around a million tickets will be available for Euro 2008 and UEFA insist that 75% will be sold at affordable prices to real fans. Sponsors and official commercial partners will be allocated around 15%. Media representatives and other VIPs will be given a nominal amount.
You don´t have to pay instantly and your tickets will be lost if you don´t pay in time after being allocated tickets.
The tickets are not personalized on application but you have to provide the names after winning "the lottery".
